Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service govern your use of the website and courses of Orison Academy LLC, 5900 Balcones Drive Suite 100, Austin, TX 78731. By creating an account or purchasing a course you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not purchase; if you have already purchased, our Returns & Refunds Policy lets you get your money back.

2. Who May Enrol

You must be at least 16 years old to hold an account. Learners under 18 should enrol with a parent or guardian who accepts these terms on their behalf. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account; tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use and we will help you secure it.

3. What You Get When You Buy a Course

• Lifetime access to each individual course you purchase, meaning for as long as Orison Academy offers that course, and at minimum 36 months from purchase.
• Downloadable exercise files and datasets for personal learning use.
• A verified certificate once you complete the required lessons and projects.
• Free updates to the course content you bought, at no extra charge.

If we ever have to retire a course you own, we will give you at least 90 days notice, allow you to download the materials, and offer you a comparable course or a refund of the unused value.

4. Licence and Fair Use

Course videos, notes, code and datasets remain the intellectual property of Orison Academy LLC and its instructors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use them for your own learning, including in your own portfolio and at work. You may not share your login, resell, re-upload, publicly broadcast, or use our materials to run competing training without our written permission.

5. Community Conduct

Our forums and Q&A sessions are meant to feel safe for beginners. Harassment, hate speech, spam, plagiarism of another learner’s work and sharing of pirated material are not allowed. We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules, and we will explain why.

6. Prices, Promotions and Subscriptions

• Prices are shown in US dollars and include any applicable taxes shown at checkout.
• The price you pay for a course is fixed at purchase; later price rises never affect content you already own.
• Subscription plans renew automatically until cancelled, and can be cancelled any time. Full details are in our Payment Policy.
• Promotional prices apply only while stated and cannot normally be combined.

7. Service Availability and Support

We aim to keep the platform available at all times and to answer support requests within 2 business days, Monday to Friday, 9AM–6PM CST. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where possible. If an outage on our side stops you from learning for more than 5 business days, you may claim a refund or an extension of access.

8. Honest Expectations

Our courses teach practical Artificial Intelligence and Python skills, and many learners use them to change careers. We do not, however, guarantee any particular job, salary, exam result or business outcome, and no member of our team is permitted to promise one. Nothing on our site should be read as financial, legal or career advice.

9. Certificates

Certificates confirm that you completed a specific Orison Academy course. They are not an academic degree and are not accredited by a government body. We may withdraw a certificate obtained through cheating, or one attached to a purchase that was refunded or reversed.

10. Your Content

You keep ownership of the projects, questions and reviews you post. By posting them you allow us to display them on the platform so other learners can benefit. We will ask for your written permission before using your work or your words in advertising.

11. Suspension and Termination

You may close your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or close an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, for fraudulent payment activity, or where required by law. Except in cases of fraud or content piracy, we will notify you first and give you a chance to fix the problem, and we will refund the unused value of any subscription.

12. Liability

We provide our courses with reasonable skill and care. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, personal injury, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and nothing limits your consumer rights.

13. Resolving Problems

Please contact us first: most issues are settled quickly and informally. If we cannot agree, these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, and disputes will be heard by the courts of Travis County, Texas — unless the mandatory consumer law of your own country gives you the right to bring a claim locally, which we respect.

14. Changes

We may update these terms to reflect new features or legal requirements. Material changes are emailed to account holders at least 14 days before taking effect and never apply retroactively to a purchase you already made.
